Join us for an evening with Anna Pilloton, College of Marin's Director of School and Community Partnerships, who will present an exciting overview of new pathways for our TL students at College of Marin (COM). The College of Marin has been working closely with Terra Linda High School and San Rafael City School District specifically to support access and opportunity for high school students to earn college credit. Many students each year explore, extend, and accelerate their learning through college courses. Come and hear about the value of concurrent enrollment with examples of classes suited for high school students, learn about new programs/facilities at Terra Linda High and College of Marin, as well as coming attractions of new developments that will benefit your student. There are multiple pathways including certificates, Associates degrees, and transfers to university. Our presenter will showcase Express Transfer Workshop, Jump start, summer opportunities (classes and camps), College Success Saturday and Summer Bridge for graduating seniors.
Community colleges play a crucial role in American higher education. Their open admission policy, coupled with low tuition and geographic proximity to home, makes them an important pathway to post secondary education for many students, especially first generation college students and also for students who are trying to avoid the high cost of 4-year university and costly student loans, as well as students who may not be ready to go far from home. We hope you and/or your student will join us to learn more about the exciting opportunities at College of Marin.
